Am I a writer? Who can say? But, apparently, I write. And this month I wrote a lot - just over 50,000 words, in fact.Now that I've been added to the list of Nanowrimo winners for 2012, I feel... well, astonished, to be honest... and thrilled... and grateful to all who encouraged and supported me - especially my good friend, Janet, who is also shooting for a Nano win this year. (You can do it, Janet. I know you can!!)
Whether all my hard work produced anything worth reading, only time will tell. The one thing I can say for certain tonight is that it was worth the writing.
Yay! So if you get past the 50K words, you are a winner? Pity the prize isn't a trip tooooooooo Phlosten Paradise!

DeleteThe goal is to write the first draft of a novel, or a good chunk of a novel at least, and to write it so quickly your inner editor can't get in the way of your imagination.
It's quite the experience. I recommend it!
